Connie Blankenship, 89 of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, July 24 surrounded by family. She was born on March 23, 1929 in Artesia, NM to Joseph and Josephine Torres.
Connie loved country music, dancing, sewing and cooking. She was a beautiful classy lady and very generous. Always willing to help anyone in need. She was very loving, caring, thoughtful, genuine, funny and amazing role model. She made us laugh. She had a great sense of humor and loved life. Connie loved her family very much and her dogs Mia and Bailey, She was very precious to our family abd will be deeply missed. Mama, you will never be forgotten and you will always be in our hearts. We love you very much!
Connie is preceded in death by her husband John Blankenship; son Larry; parents Joseph and Josephine Torres; brothers Sam, Dave, Mickey and Leo; sisters Cuca, Sophie, Fina and Flavia.
Connie is survived by daughters JoAnne D'Oro, Kristine (Rick) Richards, Robyn (Gary) Blevins; sisters Angie, Lila and Elsie; grandchildren Tamara Martin, Tracy ( Andy) Schieltz, Devon (Brianna) Richards and Sarah (Jason) Wood; great-grandchildren Timmy Martin and Lincoln Richards and Close Family Friends Roger and Liz Olguin.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Memory Gardens Cemetery 6917 E. Main St. with Father Tim Farrell officiating.
