Ronald Keith Neilson

It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Keith Neilson announce his passing at age 75 on December 19th, 2018. He was a resident of Farmington, NM. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Keith Neilson and Janice Louzella (Scott) Neilson. Ron will be forever remembered and celebrated by his 5 siblings and his living children - Jennie Rebecca Rounseville (Andrew), Julie Ann Corona, Abram Keith Neilson (Bridget), Jessica Joy Neilson and Janelle Lorae Friedrich (Mike). Ron will also be fondly remembered by his seventeen grandchildren, with an eighteenth grandchild and one great grandchild on the way.

Ron was born October 31, 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT and grew up in Holladay, UT. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Melbourne, Australia from 1963 - 1965. He attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, CO on a basketball scholarship and then attended University of Utah.  He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves from 1966 -1972.  He was a civil contractor on many large infrastructure projects and he designed and built many marinas in UT, CA, NV and AZ.

He will be greatly missed. He was laid to rest in Farmington, NM on Dec. 27th. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on January 26th, 2019 at 2pm in Prescott, AZ. Please inquire by email for address: jesscat8@mac.com.
