Sandra J. Campbell

Sandra Jo Campbell, 71, of Farmington, NM passed away on October 21, 2018 in Farmington. Sandy was born to parents Dan and Frances Halterman on April 8, 1947 in Aurora, MO. She was surrounded by a large, loving family. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1965 and attended cosmetology school in Springfield, MO. She married Gary Jaqua (deceased) and moved to Houston, TX, where they raised their three sons: Scott, Clay and Bart. In 1987 she relocated to Farmington, NM and married Mike Campbell in 1988 and blended families with his children Jason and Kari. Sandy worked for many years as an orthodontic assistant at Stephen B. Clark Orthodontics.

Sandy was an amazing Mother and Grandmother to her own children and grandchildren as well as many other that claimed her as their own. She was a sports fan, probably fueled by many hours of cheering on her children and grandchildren in soccer, football, basketball and baseball. If she had a child on the field or court, she was there.

In recent years, Sandy’s strong will has helped her through the devastating loss of her two sons, Bart and Scott. She lost her hard fought battle to cancer Sunday, October 21st at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents; Danny and Frances Halterman, sons; Scott Allen Jaqua and Bart Allen Jaqua, step-son; Michael Jason Campbell. Sandy is survived by her loving husband Michael Campbell, sons; Clay Jaqua (Christy), step-daughter; Kari Garrett (John), brothers; Skip Halterman (Jade), Randy Halterman (Dee), sister; Candy Frazier, grandchildren; Reagan Kreidler, Trae Jaqua, Lauren Jaqua, Teagan Jaqua, Darren Jaqua and Bryson Jaqua, step-grandchildren; Julianne, Malechi, Micah, Hadassah and Mordecai, great- grandchild; Weston.

Visitation will be held at Alternative Choice Funeral & Cremation on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 11:00Am to 1:00 Pm. Services are pending.
