Thomas L. Ewan

Thomas Lauren Ewan, Sr., 90, of Farmington, passed away on August 1, 2018, at his home. He was born on February 7, 1928, in Clifton, AZ to George Garrison Ewan and Olivia May (Laney) Ewan. Thomas married Edna Pearl Beach on September 10, 1950, and they were married for 61 years before her death in 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents George and Olivia, siblings and their spouses, Erwin (Lucy) Ewan, and Hannah May (Harber) Heather, in-laws roland and Ellen Beach, Thomas and Ann Beach, Marvin and Ruth Beach, Richard and Mary Beach, Evelyan and Bernice Deaton, Joan and Ernie Johnson and Barbara Wolenhaus. He is survived by son Thomas (Jeanne) Ewan, Jr. and daughter Phyllis Johnson, both of Farmington, NM, grandson Geoffery Thomas (Lindsay) Ewan, great granddaughter Emery Louise and unborn great grandson Grayson Thomas of Moscow, ID, grandson Gregory Tyler Ewan of Albuquerque, NM, brothers in law Roy Peace and William Wolenhaus, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dachshund Abby.

Thomas was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired in 1987 after a 30 year career with Arizona Public Service Co. He loved to camp, hunt and fish and was a master green thumb when it came to landscaping around his house.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
